Yellow Rice Recipe Without Coconut

For those of you who want to make yellow rice but don’t use coconut milk, here’s a recipe for yellow rice without coconut milk that you can try to make.

Material:

1 1/2 liters of rice

Enough water

3 lemongrass stalks, bruised

1/2 finger galangal, bruised

4 bay leaves

3 lbs of lime leaves

1 red chili

Salt to taste

Sugar, to taste

Pepper to taste

Right amount of oil

Fine Seasoning Ingredients:

3 segments of turmeric

1 segment kencur

7 cloves of garlic

3 hazelnuts

5 cloves of red onion

How to make:

First, you can wash the rice until it’s clean. Then set aside.

Enter the ground spices that have been prepared. Then puree using a blender, or grind it if you don’t have a blender.

Next wash the other spices such as lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, bay leaves and red chilies. Then set aside.

Prepare the pan that will be used for sauteing the spices.

Pour just enough cooking oil. Then heat it up. Add the ground spices that have been mashed in the pan. Stir well and saute until cooked until fragrant.

Prepare the rice to be cooked in a rice cooker.

Then, put the ground spices that have been cooked earlier into the rice cooker. Stir until evenly distributed. Then add other spices such as sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

After that, you can stir it evenly. Cook the yellow rice until the water recedes. You can stir it again so that the seasoning doesn’t settle to the bottom. Then continue to cook the rice again until cooked.

When it’s really cooked, you can lift it and serve it.

Serve the yellow rice recipe without coconut milk by adding complementary ingredients such as eggs, orek tempeh, shredded chicken, shredded beef, chili sauce, fresh vegetables, and so on according to taste.
